Cutting the one-time pads

The one-time pad books are much easier to use if the pages are in order by their page IDs. If you cut the paper following these directions the sheets will end up in the order shown. The reason for swapping the top page to the bottom is because the bottom row of numbers are used to determine where to cut.

1. Cut off the left, right and bottom borders. Leave the top.

2. Cut off column 4.

3. Cut off column 3 letting it fall on top of column 4.

4. Cut off column 2 letting it fall on top of column 3.

5. Put the stack (columns 2, 3, 4) on top of column 1.

6. Rotate the stack (pages 2, 5, 9, 13 showing) so that you are cutting off the bottom column (page 13 showing) first.

7. Cut off the last column leaving as much blank space at the top of the page as possible.

8. Let the pages stack on top of each other as they are cut.

9. Once the final set of 4 is left move the cover page (bottom sheet) to the top before placing on top of the larger stack.

Pages 5-16 are now in order.
Final stack is in order 2, 3, 4, 1. Move the cover page (1) to the top of the stack and then place pages 1-4 on top of 5-16.

10. Staple at the top.
